According to the data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China's metallurgical coke output reached 37.21 million mt in July this year, up 19.8 percent month on month but down 1.3 percent year on year. In July, China's coke exports were down 140,000 mt as compared to June, declining to180,000 mt. Meanwhile, China's ferroalloys output in July amounted to 2.416 million mt, increasing by 29.8 percent month on month.
In January-July this year, China's coke output increased by 12.8 percent year on year to 247.56 million mt, while its coke exports in the same period came to 2.63 million mt, increasing by 32.5 percent year on year. China's ferroalloys output in the given period increased by 21.9 percent year on year to 16.41 million mt. Among other data for the first seven months, China's steel billet imports reached 320,000 mt, up 3.6 percent year on year, while its iron ore imports increased by 7.9 percent year on year to 388.63 million mt
